Flying a family to visit their new home
In November 2021, we were asked to arrange a one-way flight for a Canadian family to visit a property they’d purchased in Florida.
With several logistical obstacles to overcome – including the lead passenger’s fear of flying, the addition of a large pet dog to the passenger list, and limited availability of charter aircraft – our team pulled out all the stops to find a solution that met the client’s complex requirements.
Our Solution
Route: Ontario > Orlando > Ontario
Aircraft: Bombardier Challenger 850
The client requested a heavy jet to minimise discomfort during turbulence. Despite limited availability on the requested dates, we managed to source a Bombardier Challenger 850 that could easily accommodate the group of 12. We also used our expert knowledge to reduce the group’s transfer time from two hours to just 10 minutes, by operating the charter from nearby Barrie Lake Simcoe Regional Airport instead of Toronto as originally planned.
Our dedicated team collated the passengers’ proof of vaccination and negative PCR results, along with vaccination paperwork for the family’s pet dog, and arranged ground transport for their two-week stay in Florida. The client was so impressed with our attention to detail that he asked us to charter the group’s return flight too, as well as any future charters he needs.
The Finer Details
Round-the-Clock Service: We were available 24/7 to arrange the client’s frequent last-minute requests.
Attention to Detail: We went above and beyond to personalise the group’s onboard experience, from stocking their favourite alcohol to providing wrapped ACS-branded gifts like educational children’s toys and a virtual reality headset for the lead passenger.
Rapid Response: We pulled out all the stops to find a solution the day the client reached out to us. Within another 48 hours, we’d also secured an aircraft and finalised the contract.
